When I think bullfighting, I think Hemingway:
Ordonez (pictured above with Ernest Hemingway) was the son of a bullfighter Ernest Hemingway wrote about in “The Sun Also Rises,” and was the scion of a long line of bullfighters who had fought in the bullring since at least 1917.
Hemingway described a competition between Ordonez and Luis Miguel Dominguin as “one of the greatest bullfights I have ever seen,” “an almost perfect bullfight unmarred by any tricks.” The rivals were awarded 10 ears, four tails, and two hooves from six bulls, an extraordinary honor.
